Energy Division No. 1
At Energy Division No. 1, we facilitate trade in general energy-related products, including crude oil, petroleum products, LPG, natural gas, LNG, as well as related business activities.
Petroleum Trading Department
We carry out trade and wholesale of crude oil, petroleum products and LPG at the global level through the headquarter and the affiliated companies.
Natural Gas Business Department
We participate in LNG production projects, terminal projects and marketing. We also participate in the Ras Laffan LNG project in Qatar and the Qalhat LNG project in Oman. In terms of new energy, we are also involved in planning DME development projects.
Energy Division No. 2
At the Energy Division No. 2, we aim to participate in oil and gas upstream projects all over the world, and to focus on enhancing the existing project.
E&P Project Coordinating Department
We are involved with Samson Investment Company, which develops the shale oil and gas business in the United States, the E&P business on Sakhalin eastern Siberia, as well as bioethanol projects in Brazil.
E&P Project Development Department
We facilitate expansion of existing projects and exploration and progress of new projects. Existing projects in Azerbaijan (ACG & BTC) and North Sea (WIDP & Hudson).
Chemicals Division
The Chemicals Division's basic strategy is to develop a broad portfolio spanning upstream and downstream in chemical products businesses while accumulating high-quality assets in each business area. Consequently, the division carries a wide lineup of competitive products, from basic chemicals through to synthetic resins, electronic materials, and raw materials for pharmaceuticals. While exploiting our global network to grow trade in those lineups, we are pursuing such far-sighted initiatives as manufacturing methanol in Brunei and investing in synthetic fiber raw materials businesses in China and in manufacturing and sales of lithium ion battery components in North America and China.
