ITOCHU was awarded the Top Class for the eighth consecutive year in the S&P Global ESG Score 2022^＊１.

This year, more than 7,800 of the world's largest companies were assessed, and only three companies in Japan, including ITOCHU as the only trading company, received Top1％ Class^＊2 awards.This award recognizes companies that have been evaluated and analyzed from a sustainability perspective in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA, Corporate Sustainability Assessment) conducted by S&P Global.

This award was presented in recognition of our "Materiality", "Supply Chain Management", "Environmental Reporting" as well as its outstanding initiatives in the various fields of ESG "Reporting". We believe that our company's sustainability initiatives, as well as appropriate information disclosure in the ESG Report, have been evaluated.

S&P (Standard and Poor’s) Global Inc. is the US-based company which offers financial information services regarding ratings, benchmarks, and analytics in the global capital and commodity markets. The company is known for one of the top two ratings providers together with Moody’s.
