Establishing a Joint Venture for Evian

ITOCHU Corporation and ITO EN Ltd. (hereafter, ITO EN) have established a joint venture to plan and implement marketing and sales strategies related to import and sales of mineral water.
1. Joint company aims
As announced on March 14, ITO EN and Groupe DANONE (head office: Paris, France) have concluded a basic agreement for exclusive marketing rights to Evian Natural Mineral Water, which ITOCHU Corporation has been exclusively importing into Japan since 1984. Taking advantage of this opportunity, a joint venture has been established with the aims of importing and selling mineral water and planning and carrying out marketing strategies for mineral water in order to further strengthen sales of Evian.
