ITOCHU Corporation is pleased to announce that our company, Ms. Tomoko Yamaguchi and Somes Saddle Co., Ltd. (Head office: Sunagawa-shi, Hokkaido; President: Junichi Someya) are starting to handle bags and leather items of the Yamawarau brand produced by Ms. Yamaguchi, from the spring-summer 2009 season.

Yamawarau is a brand that attempts to rediscover the affluence and joy hidden in our daily lives. Its concept is based on a deep feeling for the sensitivity cultivated by the four beautiful seasons of Japan, an attitude of pursuing professionalism and craftsmanship, and a willingness to learn from beauty born out of the climate and culture of our country. The brand is dedicated to quality manufacturing of products that users truly wish to possess and high-quality products to be passed down through generations.

Somes Saddle Co., Ltd., which is in accord with the concept of the Yamawarau brand, will be planning novel travel products, drawing on its experiences and technologies as a harness manufacturer.
The sales channels planned include shops under the direct management of Somes Saddle Co., Ltd., as well as department stores, boutiques and other shops where carefully selected quality products are handled.

The products for the Spring/Summer 2009 season will be exhibited to representatives on November 12 and 13 at Aoyama Shop of Somes Saddle, prior to the official launch.
