ITOCHU SANKI CORPORATION to Merge with ITOCHU MECHATRONICS CORPORATION
－New Corporate Name to Be ：ITOCHU MACHINE-TECHNOS CORPORATION－

ITOCHU SANKI CORPORATION （Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Yoshiaki Hoshino. Hereinafter “ITOCHU SANKI”） and ITOCHU MECHATRONICS CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Toshinori Ose. Hereinafter “ITOCHU MECHATRONICS”), both subsidiaries of ITOCHU Corporation, will merge effective April 1, 2010. The new corporate name will be ：ITOCHU MACHINE-TECHNOS CORPORATION.
ITOCHU SANKI and ITOCHU MECHATRONICS have been operating businesses in Japan and overseas as trading companies, with ITOCHU SANKI specializing in industrial machinery and ITOCHU MECHATRONICS in machine tools and solar cell manufacturing equipment. Through the merger, the new company will sell machinery and equipment in a wide range of business domains and provide a broad array of services from engineering to maintenance by combining the management capital of the both companies.
The new company ITOCHU MACHINE-TECHNOS will strive to grow further as a core member of the ITOCHU Group with the aim of becoming a total manufacturing solution provider that combines the promotion of new industrial technologies of ITOCHU SANKI with a total solution in machine tools and solar business of ITOCHU MECHATRONICS.
