Revision to Human Resource Management Policy

ITOCHU Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President & Chief Operating Officer Keita Ishii, hereinafter “Company” or “We”) decided at the Board of Directors’ meeting today to change our human resource management policy as set forth below, which will apply from the executive appointments as of April 1st 2024.
Ⅰ. Appointment of executive officers from a wider pool
We will appoint executive officers from younger generations. Additionally, candidates for promotion to senior executive positions will include those who had previously served as executives of the Company or those who had moved out to group companies after leaving the Company.
Ⅱ． Encourage internal appointment of female executive officers
Pursuant to the report of the Women's Advancement Committee, special measures to appoint women to executive officer positions will be implemented.
