April 13, 2017

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that it won the fourth IR Good Visual Award, an award promoted under the sponsorship of the IR Good Visual Award steering committee, which is organized by Japan Investor Relations Association and Value Create, Inc.

The award aims to commend a company whose IR page effectively highlight corporate value (one slide) in conjunction with the important IR concept of how to make investors understand corporate value. It also seeks to broadly share good examples. The slide for which the award was granted is a page showing the transition of ITOCHU becoming the top Sogo shosha in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2016 (in terms of consolidated net income), as a result of the expansion of non-resource profit. It was one of the materials that ITOCHU had produced for briefings for individual investors. The material received a high rating for its strong message, although it had been pointed out during the examination process that improvements should be made regarding the use of colors.
