Innovative In-House Team of the Year for Asian Legal Business (ALB) Japan Law Awards 2014

ITOCHU Corporation won the “Trading Company In-House Team of the Year” award in “Asian Legal Business (ALB) Japan Law Awards 2014”. This is the 10th year ALB has held this annual ceremony to commend law firms and corporate legal departments that have achieved excellent results in the previous year. It is the 6th time and 5th straight year that our Legal Division has won an award. The award recognized the achievements of the Legal Division, which fulfilled significant legal affairs duties regardless of the magnitude of case and obtained the cooperation of business departments, related departments and external law firms.
With a history of 65 years, the Legal Division constantly aspires to remain innovative and respond adroitly to the changes of the times. In fiscal 2015, the Division established “Serving as ITOCHU’s Shield” as its new motto, and it is supporting the business divisions while remaining aggressive, as envisioned under the existing motto to be a “Proactive Legal Division.”
