Itochu Corporation is conducting a sublicensing business for trademark rights and copyrights in relation to Expo Y150, the theme event commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Yokohama Port opening to be held from April 28 to September 27 this year, as the 150th Anniversary of the Yokohama Port Opening Master Licensee Office, through commercialization of the mascot character Tanemaru and other products that use marks related to the anniversary theme events. It has officially been decided that Itochu Corporation will operate three Official Souvenir Shops during the Expo period, at both venues charging for admissions and venues accessible free of charge. The operation plan for the Official Souvenir Shops is summarized below:

Based on the theme “Set Sail” of Expo Y150, the Official Souvenir Shops aim to be worthy of the Expo at Yokohama. With a estimated number of 5 million visitors during the Expo period (at venues charging for admission alone), about 1,500 categories (across 2,200 product items) (pins, mobile phone-related products, stationeries, clothing, artistic sundries, stuffed dolls, confectioneries, etc.) will be handled on a total sales floor area of about 860m2 for the three shops. Total sales of about 3 billion yen are targeted.
