CAPLAN Forms Alliance with Kagawa Prefecture to Promote UJI-turn and Recruit Human Resources

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masahiro Okafuji; “ITOCHU”) and its subsidiary CAPLAN Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Hiroyuki Isaka; “CAPLAN”), which offers temporary staffing services, are providing support for the recruitment of human resources in Kagawa Prefecture.

On July 1, 2010 CAPLAN and Kagawa Prefecture entered into a service agreement regarding the “FY2010 UJI-Turn* Promotion Project – Work-Ready Individuals Procurement Support Service.” This is the second year of the service, which was launched in the previous year. As a result of the conclusion of this service agreement, CAPLAN will launch the “Kagawa Prefecture UJI-Turn Jobchange Support Service” at its offices in cooperation with the Kagawa Prefecture Human Resources U-Turn Center in Kagawa Prefecture.

ITOCHU will continue to provide support for regional revitalization through alliances with local governments.

Details of “FY2010 UJI-Turn Promotion Project- Work-Ready Individuals Procurement Support Service”

To attract work-ready individuals to Kagawa Prefecture from other prefectures to replenish Kagawa Prefecture’s depleted population and to create a vibrant community, and to procure the labor required by companies in Kagawa Prefecture for the development of its local industries.

1) Provide “Kagawa UJI-Turn Jobchange Support Service.”
2) Hold Kagawa Prefecture UJI Turn Jobchange Consultation meeting at CAPLAN’s offices (four times a year).
