ITOCHU Announces Signing on Arrangement for Joint Development of Molybdenum-Tungsten Project in Republic of Kazakhstan

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that it has signed an arrangement on February 18, 2013, to jointly develop the molybdenum project with Kazakhstani private mining company, Dala Mining LLP (Kazakhstan, Farkhat G. Yergaliyev, General Director; hereafter “Dala”). The joint project is planned by Dala, which owns mining rights in Koktenkol, central Kazakhstan.

Together with Dala, ITOCHU will jointly select a financial advisor to find a reputable and credible partner and consider its potential finance scheme.

ITOCHU will carefully review viable projects in the natural resources business and aim to further expand its business and earnings by enhancing its portfolio of resource interests.
