ITOCHU Announces Outstanding Manager Award in Keizai Koho Center's 31st Corporate Communications Awards

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that President & CEO Masahiro Okafuji has been named by the Keizai Koho Center (Japan Institute for Social and Economic Affairs) (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Sadayuki Sakakibara, Chairman; hereinafter “KEIZAI KOHO CENTER”) as the recipient of the Outstanding Manager Award in the 31st Corporate Communications Awards.

KEIZAI KOHO CENTER instituted the Corporate Communications Awards in 1984 out of a desire to develop corporate communications. The awards are bestowed annually on corporations, managers, and individuals involved in corporate communications.

The latest award was conferred in recognition of the fact that public relations activities are being conducted under the direct control of senior management with the public relations division and manager working together to promote the creation of new corporate value and a new corporate brand.

Moving forward, ITOCHU aims to further enhance the value of the ITOCHU brand through the dissemination of corporate information in a timely and appropriate manner.
