ITOCHU Announces Printing of Cloud-based Files at 30,000 Convenience Stores Nationwide Through New "Convenience Store Print for Box" Service

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that, in cooperation with Sharp Business Solutions Corporation (hereinafter “SBS”) and U.S. company Box, Inc. (hereinafter “Box”), it was agreed to launch the “Convenience Store Print for Box” Service (hereinafter “the Service”https://cvsprint.jp/ ), which enables files on cloud storage services provided by Box to be printed at any time from multifunction printers installed in 30,000 convenience stores nationwide (FamilyMart, Circle K, Sunkus, Lawson)
ITOCHU has created a service that enables effortless printing from multifunction printers installed on the premises of its business partners, through a proprietary system that links Box’s cloud services platform with “network printing services*” delivered by SBS. It is envisaged that the service will be used in a variety of scenarios, including document printing for businessmen on the move, students wishing to print out assignments, and instant printing of photos.
The distinctive feature of the service is that it is not restricted to users on a Box payment plan. This means that a wider range of users can access the service, including those who are not familiar with Box. We aim to differentiate ourselves from our competitors by incorporating new ways of using Box and responding to the needs of users without delay, with a view to providing an even more user friendly service.

Network printing services enable files pre-registered on the Internet to be printed from Sharp multifunction printers installed in convenience stores.
