ITOCHU won the WICI award for Excellence in Integrated Reporting for Fourth Consecutive Year

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that its Annual Report won the WICI Award for Excellence in Integrated Reporting for the fourth consecutive year.

Four companies are selected for the "WICI Award for Excellence in Integrated Reporting" upon review of the Annual Report (Integrated Reporting) for fiscal year 2015 (the fiscal year ended March 2016) disclosed by the companies listed in the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and other companies.

The Award was granted in recognition of the message from the President & CEO, which covers the entire Integrated Reporting and the indication of references to detailed explanations and other innovations as well as appropriate descriptions of the differences from other general trading companies, which provides a persuasive explanation about the sources of the Company's uniqueness and competitiveness.

ITOCHU will seek to disclose more useful financial and non-financial information to stakeholders by further improving the Annual Reports.

  • *WICI stands for the World Intellectual Capital Initiative. WICI was formed in 2007. Its members include participants from the private sector, such as corporations, analysts, investors, and accounting experts. The organization aims to improve the disclosure of information regarding intellectual assets/capital as well as the key performance indicators which are of interest to shareholders and other stakeholders.
