ITOCHU Corporation won the Grand Prize in the 66th Nikkei Advertising Awards for the Corporate Message Advertising Series “I am One with Infinite Missions ”

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced on October 25th that it has won the Grand Prize in the 66th Nikkei Advertising Awards sponsored by Nikkei Inc.. This is the second consecutive year in which ITOCHU has been awarded the Grand Prizeand, including its Grand Prize in the 63rd Nikkei Advertising Awards two years ago, ITOCHU has won the prize three times in four years.

The advertisement that was awarded Grand Prize is the “Corporate message series” consisting of three advertisements published from April 3 to September 1, 2017. The judges explained that “ITOCHU” has been describing the will of the company in its advertisements. In a series of its advertisements, the company has successfully described natural humaneness, and the strength of living and working by using a picture-book appearance in order to transmit the company’s management philosophy, three management principles of “Earn, Cut, Prevent” in an easy-to-understand manner.

ITOCHU also won the Best Award in the “Brand/Fashion Category.”

  • Nikkei Advertising Award
    Winners of the 66th Nikkei Advertising Awards are selected from outstanding advertisements that have appeared on The Nikkei during the period between October 1, 2016 and September 30, 2017. The selected advertisements are those that are regarded as pioneering, serving as a guidepost for advertisements of the future. One thousand, two hundred and nineteen advertisements have been screened for the latest Nikkei Advertising Awards overall. From these, only one advertisement has been selected for the “Grand Prize”.
