ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Keita Ishii, President & COO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that it opened the "ITOCHU SDGs STUDIO" as a center for communicating and raising public awareness of various SDG initiatives.

ITOCHU has set "Contribute to and strengthen initiatives for the SDGs" as one of the Basic Policies in its medium-term management plan for FY2021~FY2023. ITOCHU is committed to pursuing realization of the SDGs through its main business in keeping with the principle of sampo yoshi, which focuses on all stakeholders, and decided to open this center in the belief that providing opportunities to increase public support for the SDGs might contribute to a more sustainable society.

The center will serve as a space which various NGOs, NPOs and other organizations involved with the SDGs can use to communicate information about their activities and as a space where individuals have the opportunity to engage with the SDGs in their own way, allowing various plans to unfurl and take shape.

To ensure that news about SDG initiatives through the center's activities reaches a wider audience, supermodel Ai Tominaga will also act as an evangelist for the ITOCHU SDGs STUDIO, raising public awareness about SDG initiatives to coincide with various exhibitions in the future.

As a general trading company supporting people's lives, ITOCHU will continue aiming for the realization of a sustainable society and contributing to the SDGs though the principle of sampo yoshi.
