ITOCHU Wins Second Prize in NIKKEI Integrated Report Award 2021

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Keita Ishii, President & COO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that it won Second Prize at NIKKEI Integrated Report Award 2021. ITOCHU’s Annual Report 2021 received high marks on the heels of receiving the “Gold Award at WICI Japan Integrated Report Award 2021” and “Outstanding Integrated Report by GPIF.”
From this year, the NIKKEI Integrated Report Award has been renewed and restructured from the former NIKKEI Annual Report Awards, which was launched in 1998 by Nikkei Inc., to further enhance and disseminate the annual reports published by Japanese companies. This year, one Grand Prize, three Second Prize, and other awards were selected from around 300 participating companies, and ITOCHU was selected as the Second Prize.
ITOCHU’s Annual Report 2021 was highly acclaimed that “The CEO Message at the beginning of the report is powerful and conveys his strong will to seize upon the changes of this era and turn them into major opportunities, as well as the significance of the integrated reporting. Specifying the material sustainable issues and the action on climate change are also clear and easy to understand. Clarification of ESG issues by business segments also serves as a useful reference for other conglomerates.”
ITOCHU will continue to further improve its annual reports and provide its investors and other stakeholders with useful financial and non-financial information.
