ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Keita Ishii, President & COO; hereinafter "ITOCHU") announced today that it has acquired master license rights and exclusive rights to import and sell NICE WEATHER products in Japan. NICE WEATHER is a chain of Korean lifestyle specialty shops run by NICE WEATHER Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Seoul, South Korea; CEO: Seunghoon Lo; hereinafter "NICE WEATHER"). ITOCHU has entrusted UNITED ARROWS LTD. (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Yoshinori Matsuzaki; hereinafter "United Arrows") to distribute its products as an exclusive sublicensee and partner retailer, starting with the spring and summer 2025 collection.

NICE WEATHER is a chain of lifestyle specialty shops that opened in Seoul, South Korea in 2020. Its concept is to be a convenient store for future generations that meets the wide variety of needs that today's consumers have. It stocks products including everyday goods, cosmetic products, casual clothing and food. There are now three shops in South Korea. Their playful lineup includes merchandise from popular Korean brands, carefully selected items from countries around the world and unique products developed exclusively by NICE WEATHER. It has become popular primarily among young consumers, both nationally and internationally. The flagship shop in Garosu-gil is popular with tourists.

ITOCHU intends to increase brand recognition by harnessing its considerable experience and knowledge in the brand business as well as UNITED ARROWS' established expertise regarding product development and retail operations. It will develop products exclusively for the Japanese market and regularly open shops that target fashionable young consumers in their 20s and 30s who are aware of the current trends in South Korea. The first NICE WEATHER shop will open in April, 2025 in the Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store (in Osaka City, Osaka). An official ecommerce website will also be launched to actively promote the brand.
