ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Keita Ishii, President & COO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the remaining 20.5% equity interest in We Sell Cellular LLC (headquartered in New York, U.S.A.; hereinafter "WSC"), a distributor of used mobile devices in North America, through its subsidiary ITOCHU International Inc. (headquartered in New York, U.S.A.; Naohiko Yoshikawa, CEO). Combined with the 79.5% interest acquired in April 2025, ITOCHU now holds 100% ownership of WSC.

WSC is a distributor of used mobile devices headquartered in the United States, the world's largest market for used mobile devices, and serves more than 700 customers across 47 countries through its extensive global network.

Since ITOCHU's initial investment in April 2025, WSC has expanded its sales channels through collaboration with the ITOCHU Group's overseas network, strengthened its operational capabilities through cooperation with Belong Inc., and enhanced its management framework through the dispatch of management personnel from the ITOCHU Group. In light of this steady progress, ITOCHU has decided to acquire the remaining equity interest in WSC and make it a wholly owned subsidiary in order to further accelerate the company's growth.

Following the acquisition, ITOCHU will position WSC as the core company of its North American used mobile device business. By promoting strategic partnerships with leading industry players and expanding its operations into adjacent business areas, ITOCHU aims to further expand the earnings scale of its used mobile device business.

ITOCHU will continue to strengthen and expand its used mobile device business with WSC at its core while promoting the expansion of its global Circular Tech Value Chain. Through these initiatives, ITOCHU aims to achieve both sustainable business growth and the realization of a resource-circulating society.
