Communication with Shareholders and Investors under COVID-19
Even under the extenuating environment of COVID-19, ITOCHU continues to engage in investor relations activities focusing on communication with shareholders and investors, with the aim of continuously enhancing corporate value.
Although we have changed the format of some activities to prevent the spread of infection, we strive to maintain and improve timely and appropriate information disclosure in the uncertain social and economic environment.
We engage in investor relations activities more actively than ever, in order to deepen the dialogue with our stakeholders.
Instead of holding investors meetings at a venue, we use a telephone conference system and an online system.
|Individual meetings with institutional investors||
As an alternative to face to face meetings, we use an online meeting system or a telephone conference system to actively and continuously communicate with shareholders and investors.
|Overseas IR roadshows||
While we refrain from overseas IR roadshows, we use an online meeting system or a telephone conference system to realize flexible communication with overseas shareholders and investors regardless of place and time.
|General Meeting of Shareholders||
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, General Meeting of Shareholders was held only by directors in principle, greatly reducing the scale.
Other IR activities (financial results announcements, timely disclosures, preparation of an annual report, updating of website, etc.) are conducted as usual.
As for our company employees, we place the highest priority on ensuring worker safety and preventing the spread of infection, and continue operations while avoiding risks. We implement such measures as promoting staggered working hours by utilizing the morning focused working system, improving work systems including teleworking, expanding PCR testing, and erecting shields in office areas.
