ITOCHU Announces New Event at ITOCHU AOYAMA ART SQUARE "Iro no tsuranari" - Japanese Painting Exhibition by Yuuki Sori

December 2, 2013

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) opened ITOCHU AOYAMA ART SQUARE in October 2012 in the CI Plaza, a commercial facility adjacent to ITOCHU’s Tokyo headquarters, with the objective of nurturing future generations, contributing to the local community, and promoting arts and culture in Japan and abroad as part of ITOCHU’s social contribution activities. Since that time, various exhibitions have been held at the facility.

ITOCHU announced today that the first event of the new year starting Friday, January 10, 2014 will be “Iro no tsuranari” – Japanese Painting Exhibition by Yuuki Sori. These rhythmic paintings are created using traditional Japanese painting materials of gold leaf, silver leaf, and natural mineral pigments from close observation of flowers, yet at the same time harmonize with contemporary spaces. We hope that you will come and see for yourself these fresh works by this promising young Japanese-style painter.
