It evaluates the actions and level of informational disclosure of each company in the categories of Society, Environment and Governance in each of its 59 industrial sector classifications, and awards the top (approx. 15%) companies as those conducting prominent efforts toward achieving a sustainable society. Of the 18 total evaluation fields this year, ITOCHU received the sector-highest scores in six fields, particularly in those concerning society such as human resource use, which led to an improved assessment.

We will continue to listen to the global voices of our stakeholders, act to resolve social issues through our businesses, and aim to achieve a sustainable company and growth of society.
