ITOCHU Announces Assistance in Response to Damage from Torrential Rains in Northern Kyushu

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that ITOCHU has decided to contribute five million yen as a relief donation in response to the damage caused by the record-breaking torrential rains that recently hit the northern part of Kyushu.

In addition, ITOCHU started an employee fund-raising effort today as emergency assistance for damage from the heavy rains. We will give our full support to the affected areas in the form of medical, food and other vital supplies as and when required.

We express our deepest condolences to those in the affected area, and pray for a speedy recovery.
