May 2, 2018

ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Yoshihisa Suzuki, President & COO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that in April 2018, ITOCHU put forth material sustainability issues (Materiality) that incorporate an ESG perspective. Addressing these issues through its main business will help ITOCHU accomplish Brand-new Deal 2020's goal of achieving ongoing growth through a reinvented sampo yoshi approach.
We have revised material sustainability issues which were determined at the CSR Committee (the Sustainability Committee) in 2013, reflecting the recent social conditions.
Sustainability initiatives of ITOCHU, which fulfills its responsibilities for the present and future society, also contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)* which were adopted at a UN Summit in 2015.

※SDGs(Sustainable Development Goals):Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved by 2030, which were adopted by United Nations member states in September 2015.
