ITOCHU has won a Bronze Award in the Environmentally Sustainable Company Category at the Ministry of Environment’s 1st ESG Finance Awards. Among the winning companies in this category, all highly rated as advanced ESG companies, ITOCHU was the only trading company to win this award.
By screening and selecting companies proactively engaged in environmentally sustainable management, the purpose of these awards is to share the details of the efforts made by the winning companies with even more stakeholders. The Minister of the Environment Shinjiro Koizumi rushed to the awards venue and praised the efforts of the winning companies. He expressed his expectations for further ESG promotion including TCFD and SBT.
